Hot Air Balloon

Hot air ballooning is a latest addition to Sri Lankan tourism. You can escape to Sri Lankan countryside, by flying over majestic jungles and coasts on a hot air balloon, to capture the views of lush greenery, breathtaking mountain ranges, cultural sites, plenty of wildlife or coastal sites, like never before.
Hot air balloons are inflated with heated air which makes the whole unit to lift off and drift in the direction of the wind. The pilot can climb up or down by controlling the hot gas supply to the balloon. However, the directional control of a hot air balloon is minimal, which adds to the excitement as no preflight path can be agreed.

The altitude of the flight can hover between 500 ft. to 2000ft. You are most welcome to take photographs and videos of breathtaking sceneries. You can talk to your pilot to gather information about the areas you are flying over.
Apart from the overwhelming sites you capture, drifting on a hot balloon would offer you the feeling of weightlessness and freedom in a way you have never experienced before.
Landing location cannot be decided until the final phase of the flight. The ground crew enjoys the game of chasing the balloon to locate the place where we land. They will be with us in no time. Upon the landing, you will enjoy a glass of Champagne to toast the flight. Finally you will be taken back to the location where you were picked.
